Dr. Franklin D. Battle, Sr. is a relevant and influential voice in ministry, community affairs, and government. He is the founder of Jesus Christ Ministries, Inc. (JCMI), Project Real Life Youth Occupational Training Corps (PRL Y.O.T.C.) and Lobbying Americans, Inc. For over 44 years, Dr. Battle has provided sound counsel to congregations, families, and individuals across the nation and abroad, particularly on the continent of Africa. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Upper Room Church located in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Dr. Battle is an ordained prophet. His office as a prophet has been validated by countless miracles, signs, and wonders, fulfilled prophecies, supernatural experiences with God and profound revelation from the scriptures. In 1984, Dr. Battle founded J.C.M.I. with the intent of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and to establish multiple training centers globally.  J.C.M.I. has five subsidiaries which include Upper Room Church, Jesus Christ Ministry International School of Ministry, Franklin Battle Ministries, Women of Promise and Women of Virtue. 

 

Dr. Battle is also a prolific writer. He has penned 26 books and has 8 published books on the market. His books are biblically sound and focus on the supernatural aspects of Christianity. Dr. Battle has been interviewed on numerous television programs. In June of 2015, he was featured as a deliverance expert on the program "I Was Possessed" which airs on The Life Time Movie Network. In 2014, Dr. Battle was featured on Our America with Lisa Ling which airs on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The program was titled fighting Satan. 

 

Dr. Battle has a passion to see individuals transformed to reach their full potential. Since 1993, Project Real Life Youth Occupational Training Corps has provided youth and families in metro Atlanta with life enriching programs. These programs include G.E.D prep. courses, job training/placement, housing initiatives, food/ clothing drives, youth mentoring and athletic programs.
 

In addition to ministry, Dr. Battle also fulfills various civic and political roles. He currently is a member of the faith based initiative for President Barack Obama. He was also involved with faith initiatives for President George Bush and President Bill Clinton. Locally, Dr. Battle was an active member of the Faith Based Round Table with former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and a volunteer community contact for former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue. 

 

Dr. Battle and his wife Madelyn Battle of 46 years reside in Atlanta, Georgia and have been blessed with 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
